" I did a few modeling assignments with LPI (now Specialty Publications). They were good to me under the leadership of Robert McQueen and art director Glenn Offield (both are deceased and sadly missed). My issue (Advocate Men, October, 1987) was a huge smash overseas. I was big over there and did 3 videos in New Zealand. It was very scary going that far away to work with people I knew nothing about. Porn was a means to an end for me. I never envisioned myself "a porn star". I was not comfortable doing it and clearly did it for financial reasons. The centerfold and different features I did with LPI were different. The Advocate Men Live #2 while poorly shot, got a lot of attention. Maybe because it was so amateur looking and did not look professionally done? I, to this day, get e-mail from people around the world who really got off on that video. I am surprised at their comments. I thought my body looked great but the video's color was terrible. My exposure with "Advocate Men" was initially good but I followed that up with what turned out to be a disastrous stint in adult films. I was working with the big companies (Catalina, Falcon. Vivid) and was being paid better than a lot of guys who were much better performers then I. "The Advocate" exposure helped market me onto the video scene. I had the right stuff but the wrong attitude, you might say. Also, they paired me with guys that did nothing for me sexually. This was before the men of today who are doing videos. Had guys like Kris Lord, Chase Hunter or Mike Branson been around, I would have been more energetic and turned out better work. Guys today doing porn make careers out of it, where when I was doing it, guys doing porn did it discretely (or as discretely as you can bearing your goods for anyone to see). "
